Patient Appointments

Millhouse Patient Services

"Partnering in Health and Healing".

Our medical team is dedicated to serving you and your family through our range of Patient services. Our doctors, nurse practitioner and practice nurses are skilled in primary health care, backed by our health coaches and receptionists. Our role is to enable each person to attain quality health. At all times the dignity of the person is respected.

Your Own Doctor: To be able to have a doctor who knows you and your health concerns is a core value at Millhouse clinic. You select that doctor when you register and we endeavour to maintain that ongoing relationship. However, there will be times when your doctor is not available and you may need to consult another member of our medical team. These include our Nurse Practitioner, Health Improvement Coach, and Practice Nurses.

Making an Appointment

Please note holiday booking times are usually posted on our Home page and on facebook.

By Phone

Call (09) 5374980

When dialling in, you will hear a message about 111 emergencies and then be prompted to:

PRESS 1 for Reception to make an appointment  OR

PRESS 2  to speak to a Practice Nurse

PRESS 3 for a repeat prescription request

Early in the morning our telephone lines are busy; if your request is non-urgent it is easier to contact us after 10.00 am.

After our Receptionist has welcomed you, please indicate if your request is for an appointment, investigation results, (blood, X-ray), repeat prescription or for another service.

If requesting an appointment, please indicate if you need an urgent or non-urgent consultation. Urgent consultations will be immediately transferred to a nurse who will ascertain the seriousness of your problem. If a nurse is unavailable, your doctor will be contacted. Non-urgent consultations will be given an appointment time with the doctor of your choice.

Please note the information about Your Own Doctor in the opening paragraph. Our skilled medical team includes our Nurse Practitioner, Health Improvement Coach, and Practice Nurses.

Electronic Appointments

We have an online Booking system on the ManageMyHealth site, accessed by the E-booking tab above.

Many patients have remarked how simple it is to make an e-booking, saving time and the hassle of phoning Reception for a normal appointment. At this stage we are unable to offer nurse appointments or extended bookings for minor surgery and the ARI consultations.

You may have tried booking a number of times and failed; there have been difficulties when a mobile phone number is different from the one held in the practice computer record.  In this case, please call or email us and we will endeavour to facilitate your access to the e-appointment site.

By Internet:

Click on Ebooking on the menu bar above and you will be taken to the ManageMyHealth site where you can select your doctor and an appointment time. On your first visit you will need to register and select a password before proceeding further. When booking an appointment for your child, use your name and inform Reception of the change on arrival. After a booking has been made a text message will be sent confirming the time and date of your appointment.
