On the other hand, by surfing the web you may find out something useful that your doctor wasn't taught! In the USA, UK, Australia and to a much lesser extent in NZ, national "Support – Information" Groups exist for the major diseases – asthma, arthritis, cancer, diabetes, heart etc. Patient ‘chat rooms’ enable you to communicate worldwide with other sufferers of a specific illness.
